Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

BJJ stands for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It is a Brazilian grappling-based martial art. Ground fighting is central during the lessons, the goal of the sport is to dominate your opponent and work him or her to the ground as quickly as possible. From here, you'll continue the ground fight, eventually knocking your opponent off as quickly as possible.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu evolved from Japanese jiujitsu. The idea is that soft wins over hard, or while; A weaker person can defend themselves against a stronger attacker with the right techniques and movements.

During MMA, for example, but also on the street, you often see a fight end on the ground. Just look at a UFC match, most of them are decided on the ground. So when you master the ground fight you often have a great chance to overpower your opponent. BJJ is ideal for any fighter to learn!

Burning Heart has a separate department in the building to take BJJ lessons. We call this beautiful space the budo dojo, budo stands for Japanese martial arts. There is a large mat that is made to be able to train comfortably and safely both standing and lying down. The subfloor is 4 cm high and there is a banner over it, so that we can easily disinfect the floor. The room is completely cleaned every day!
