World Championships, new schedule, Hilversum Active

World Championships for Menno and Mourad
Last Saturday the "Battle of Germany" took place in Germany, which I wrote an article about in my previous blog. From what I have heard from the people who traveled with me, everyone had a great time there. Arranged down to the last detail, you can leave it to Germans, and moreover run successfully for Dojo Burning Heart. The only downside was that our 2 heroes, Chris and Menno, had to compete against each other. During the weigh-in, Chris found 300 grams!! too heavy so that they ended up in the same group. The first round of this match was a bit of a mess because both didn't really want to play against each other. Second round there was a more serious fight with the end result that Menno won the match by decision of the jury, which turned out to be incorruptible, contrary to what we sometimes experience in the Netherlands. Our C-classer, Mourad Amazyan, qualified for the final tournament quite easily by winning his matches convincingly, the 2nd match by technical KO in the first round. We will see both men again at the World Championships K1 WFMC from 20 to 22 October in the town of Hagen, Germany.

Not much changes but fun is new hour kickboxing youth without sparring on Tuesdays at 6.30 pm. Mourad has earned his own hour by now and will take care of the bag and fitness training on Tuesday evening at 8.30 pm. Due to the fact that Noëll is free on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Jerry and Daphne will take care of the Crossfight class from 7.30 pm on Thursday evening. We were asked so many times why we didn't teach this Crossfight class anymore, from now on this wish has been granted.

New mats large Dojo:
As it looks now, the new floor for our Dojo will arrive at the beginning of October. Our (old floor) has been sold in its entirety so for those who want to buy 1 or more mats separately, this is unfortunately not possible!!

Hilversum Active
Also want to take a moment to reflect on next Sunday when there will be several performances by our dance school during the second "edition" of Hilversum Actief on the market grounds. With Hilversum Actief we want to offer you a stage to present yourself to the Hilversum audience. Sports clubs, dance schools, singing groups, social organizations, music and cultural associations, everyone is welcome. On this special sporting culture day, which can be found at the Langwensen, all +/- 90 leisure organizations present themselves. There is also room for commercial parties to profile themselves on the market. It gives associations, organizations and activities the opportunity to recruit members, donors and/or make activities known to the residents of Hilversum. Come and see and experience!
