Birthday Party

We're writing Friday morning around eight o'clock when I realize I haven't written a blog yet. In addition, contrary to my habit, I am only out of bed for half an hour. So in other words, I'm not quite up to date for writing a blog yet. In addition, the past few days I have taken on a bit too much with changing the Crossfight space. It's been quite a few hectic busy days that are behind me. Together with Jerry we demolished the casing and toilets and mounted the window frames with the Viking poster on the back and side wall, with Abman regularly lending a helping hand. What still needs to be done is to repair the ceiling, but I think we will postpone that to next week because I am quite as they call it demolished at the moment! It is the intention to definitively divide the Crossfight area in the course of the afternoon. A job that is quite complicated because as it stands now it is far too messy. We are satisfied with the corner where the toilets were located, so the 2 rowing machines are right around the corner when entering the Crossfight room. Because these rowers are quite on the long side, it seems to us to be the ideal place where they are now.

Daan in the Octagon
Tuesday evening our Octagon was used for the first time for an hour of MMA, of course given by Daan van Velzen. Daan couldn't wait to use the cage with his boys and it was very happy to see him at work that evening. This teacher can be a very calm and dedicated trainer that you can always count on. Saw on the cameras at home that he was going into the cage so wanted to capture this on film at all costs. With a rush to Dojo with my DJI camera where it turned out that the battery was almost empty. Fortunately, the camera had enough energy to take some footage of Daan's lesson.

Birthday party
King's Day used to edit the recorded footage of a birthday party that was recently celebrated at our dance school into one film. Got this request from Celia Berg, our dance teacher, and of course couldn't refuse this topper. Just for your information, you can now rent the dance school to celebrate your Kid's birthdays, among other things. If you are interested in this, please contact the dance school. Coming back to the party Celia had asked me for, I entered the dance school on Saturday and looked out at the decorated table. Really a picture as it looked, especially considering that this was made up for young teenagers. I used a picture of this table as an illustration for this blog. Celia's intention was to rehearse a dance with the birthday girl and her friends and later, without the kids knowing, to present the parents with the end result. I have to say that I'm quite happy with the edited video that I've been working on all day. A nice keepsake for the kids and parents.

Drone
If you see a Drone flying around in our Dojo soon, don't be surprised. Jerry and I have decided to purchase such a beautiful piece of technology.
I think it would be great to shoot images from the ceiling. It's one thing missing from my list of cameras and that dream will soon come true.

Until my next blog.
Dick
