Twins
Start my blog with a bit of private. Last Wednesday I turned 1 year older again. Since time immemorial my birthday was skipped simply because within our family we had 3 birthdays in a row. To have another house full on February 8 was too much for me, especially since we had a large family.
Since the death of my wife in 2000 my family comes to Erasmuslaan around my birthday and I treat them to a delicious Gourmet and that has become a tradition. Since Jerry and Daphne are on vacation this week, my family still holds this Gourmet in reserve. The night before my birthday I received a what's app from Chloe asking me to come to Kolhornseweg for dinner on my birthday. No sooner said than done and what was my surprise, the girls had put up balloons and garlands so I felt like it was my birthday. After a delicious dinner made by babysitter girl Jaimy, dessert was brought out. A home baked apple pie by Chloë with a big dollop of whipped cream. To finish Isi showed off her book review that she had to perform at school the next day. A particularly smooth event supported with images on the computer, may I say I was quite impressed with her presentation.
New mat
You may have noticed, this week our floor is being taken care of resulting in a clean mat. Every day of the week a piece is cleaned at Otopoets with the pressure washer. Then the mats are treated with an impregnating agent to prevent them from getting dirty. This impregnating agent creates a layer that prevents soiling. It was the intention to buy new mats but a very smart remark of my daughter-in-law postponed this for a while.
Her comment read: Jerry why don't we look around at the upcoming biggest Fitness fair in the world called Fibo to be held in Germany in early April.
There are also Chinese suppliers there and maybe this could save many euros because renewing the mat costs a sloppy 10,000 euros.
Boxing Gala
We are rapidly approaching our Boxing Gala in sports hall Kerkelanden. The preparations are going with fits and starts but that should not spoil the fun. Wednesday the tickets arrived and hopefully this week the posters of the Boksgala. Tickets cost €15.00 in presale and €20.00 at the door. Because boxing is growing at the moment and is enjoying great popularity, we will start classes for youth from 9 to 14 years at dojo Burning Heart in early March.
So another extension of the already many classes we offer!
Dance Dance and Ladies Only
Things are also changing at our branch, Dance Dance Dance and Ladies only. Until now people still could not use a shower facility. Because the building was split up, De Haas cars and our sports event, we needed our own house numbering. Both electric and gas could not get started until we actually had our own house number. Now for such a thing you have to be with municipality Hilversum for an application and lo and behold that came after a long wait. The heating was running through the Haas as was the light but now we have our own supply of both.
