The Beastside! Jeremy?

The sun is shining brightly and I thought, you know what, I'll sit out on my balcony. Now my balcony is pretty much turned over by the housing association in connection with renovations. Fortunately, it is almost finished, but I had the sides of my balcony fenced off with chicken wire so my cat could not get to the neighbors. Put netting back but in no time that rascal was walking by the neighbors. Of course he has grown so he wiggled his way over.
Conclusion: buy more netting and raise the fence because he enjoys the balcony as much as I do but I want it to be my balcony and not my balcony and I don't want him to run to the neighbors.

The Beastside!
Something special is about to happen in the Fitness area at the end of the month. January 27th The Beastside is scheduled, now you are probably wondering what is this. Can you say, I had no idea either but there is going to be heavy Hip Hop played by top D.J Goos Baars who came up with this concept. A quote from his message on facebook: Most of you know that I am often in the gym. Lately I've been annoyed to death by the terrible music they play at massagyms like F4F. Think Adele and Ed Sheeran slow jams. And then just when you want to get pumped for the weekend on Friday night. Jerry thought the same and wanted to offer the members (and non-members) of his gym (read: most beautiful gym of 't Gooi -> Sportschool Burning Heart) something extra and mega unique. The result: a new concept from me (Blubin Concepts); THE BEASTSIDE!
THE BEASTSIDE! is the Friday before the weekend where we'll take the gym experience up a notch and pump it up even more with Heavy Weights, DJ in the gym, LOUD (OLDSCHOOL) Iron pump Hip-Hop sounds and Next Level motivation! I - GOOS - will be spinning; Biggie, Rick Slick, 50 Cent, Eminem, G-Eazy and so on!
So scoop a big scoop of Pre, pack plenty of protein and call your friends that you're joining later, because Friday 27/01 from 8PM - 11PM it's time for your Muscles; time for THE BEASTSIDE! Besides this ultimate happening, there is even more to experience on conscious Friday, how about the presence of tattoo artist Douglas van B, free nutritional advice and training tips by Body Builder Anthony Oosterlaag, interested in Personal Training, you can get a free intake from Michael Tielrooij. All this with lasers flashing through the gym.

CHAPTER 1 ( Jeremy Blijd )

gym, Burning Heart, Fitness

After the forced departure of the then head coach of Burning Heart, Rodney Glunder, about whom I don't want to say anything else, Jerry had to look for someone else. Soon he ended up with an A fighter who worked at car parts store Brezan. This guy, who already regularly showed his face at our Dojo, seemed well suited to become head trainer at Burning Heart. Carefully we asked him what he thought about changing jobs and accepted the challenge to join our gym. Quite a transition for Jeremy but after a few days of consideration he chose to dive in at the deep end and accept the challenge.
Thus, in mid-2011 Jeremy was introduced as the new head coach of Dojo Burning Heart. Right from the start Jerry realized that he had attracted the right person. An enthusiastic guy who from the beginning was open to the course of action that Jerry had in mind, not just a gym but a Dojo where everyone should feel at home. After a while there came a giant hitch on the personal front for Jeremy, the sudden death of his brother. The immediate family was overseas so he was responsible for the things such a tragic event brings. Quite a low point in his life. But at the Dojo you noticed little that Jeremy was struggling with but fortunately there was another happy side, the birth of his wonderful son. I recognize much of him from my own time when I became a father, just like Jeremy, going out with your boy as soon as possible. Now the situation was a lot easier for me due to the fact that Jeremy and his girlfriend had ended their relationship, I was not affected by that. Jeremy had and still has quite a hard time with that but again, at the Dojo you notice very little of that. I can tell by everything that he is enjoying himself with our family. At the time of writing he just had surgery on his hand and it is typical of his attitude that he was present at the Dojo immediately after surgery. Hope we can enjoy his inspiring presence at our gym for a long time to come.
Jeremy, you are a top guy in my eyes and believe me your colleagues think so too.

Until my next blog.
Dick
