Pete Dance

A quiet week in which little worth mentioning happened at the Dojo. It happens when you have 42 blogs and it is time for a new blog. The deadline approaches and then I have no idea what to write. Pondering and pondering again and staring at a blank page until something sensible pops into my brain that I can make something out of.

Now last Wednesday night the Epass thing, this is our system that the gym runs on, was down for some time. Means no registrations, sales, adjustments and the like could take place. Is this worth mentioning, well it's just another few lines on my blog that get me started on filled writing.

Sunday Mass
Every Sunday morning there is a bag and fitness practice at 10 a.m. led by mister Dojo, Jerry de Jong. This class has been referred to as Morning Mass for some time. This remarkable name came about due to the fact that both Jerry and Abman, regular substitute on Sundays, both had to be absent. Spontaneously, Ad Donkerslo, who does not know this gray eminence, offered to provide the lesson. Now Ad's nickname is the Reverend and that in turn caused this Sunday lesson to be renamed morning Mass. This week Jerry posted images of one such morning class from 2 years ago on facebook and in doing so he noticed that many current members are still present today. In other words our lotto "One Gym One Fam" is certainly asserting itself. This Sunday Abman will lead the morning Mass because Jerry is enjoying a diving vacation in Egypt.

New coat of paint?
You may have noticed that our bar has been given a fresh coat of paint. This took place last Saturday afternoon and upon entering the building the next morning I was shocked to see that the paint job had completely failed and had not even completely dried. It had become strips and had not dried out. Now the plan is to repaint the bar next Saturday and hopefully with a better result.

Sinterklaas
Saturday afternoon the entry of Sinterklaas is planned in Kortenhoef and as a small part of this Happening there will be a dance performance by youth members of our dance school. This is planned at a quarter to one in the Meenthof and about three quarters of an hour later in Sporthal de Fuik also in Kortenhoef. It is my intention to be there with my film equipment to make a short report which can be seen on our site and facebook.

Pete Dance Party at Dance Dance Dance.
An incredibly fun morning for kids ages 3 through 8. Learn the Pietendans, crawl through the chimney, sing along with the Sinterklaas songs, do the pietenparcours and discover the rest! Finally, you can have your picture taken with the dancing saints and hopefully receive a Pietendans diploma. At 10 a.m. the party starts and then mom and dad can pick you up at noon. Member..or non-member..everyone is welcome! Bring a friend and experience the Pietendans party together!

Sign up by email manonweijn@hotmail.com. See you then!
Of course I am also here for the photo and film work so this can also be looked back on social media and our site.

Until the next blog.
Dick
