Open Day, Jeugdjournaal and 538

Open Day
This Saturday, the dance school will hold Open Day and if we believe the various campaigns that can be seen on fFacebook, among others, we can look forward to quite a bit of interest in advance. In any case, there have been nice reactions. I've been busy decorating a few things in the dance school. For example, 2 walls have been given a fresh blue color and a corner has been created for the little ones among the visitors. During the open day there will be a film on the T.V. of the final performance that was held on July 12, 2017 in Theater Gooiland with the name "Happy Summer Dance". A quote from the program booklet:

"It's summer and the holidays are starting. We will take you out on the streets where summer is celebrated and the sun is shining. The revelry moves to the beach, where delicious cocktails are drunk while a fanatical group is playing beach volleyball. Finally, we show how beautiful the underwater world is and we all sail on a ship to our holiday destination. Enjoy the beautiful, sweet, naughty, endearing, challenging and tough dance acts".

Crossfight
You may have noticed, but since a few days there is a nice rack in the Crossfight for the weights in the corner where the large rack is. In the past, the weights were scattered here and there on the floor or carelessly against the wall. Now it's a small effort to roll the weights back to this rack. The spacing is also made in such a way that the weights can be placed in order of number of kilos.

Youth news
Since the last blog we have been able to look forward to T.V. visits. On Saturday there was a camera crew from the youth news who had chosen us for an item about the "match of the century", the fight between Mayweather vs McGregor. Chloë, Isi and a neighbor boy showed their best side during an interview of the youth news. In their characteristic way, Chloë slightly timid, Isi as isi is, spontaneous and always happy, answered the questions asked. In any case, I enjoyed their conversations! On Monday afternoon it was radio 538's turn to record a commercial. Maurits de Ruijter would love to win a room for one year in Amsterdam and his quid pro quo, a fight with a female kickboxer. We had roped in Samantha van Doorn as an opponent of challenger Maurits. On the program, 3 rounds of 1.5 min. Of course Sammie held back, her opponent had no experience at all. Usually they shoot a movie in the big Dojo where the practice ring is located, but after I gave the ladies and gentlemen of the film crew a tour, they asked if I would mind if they could take pictures in the Octagon. The video in question can be found on the Facebook site of Radio 538.
