One Gym One Fam

One Gym One Fam
Swapped the images of tennis for my screen at the computer, after all it is blog time.
Drop right in, not only Jerry is annoyed to death by the mess in the Fitness and Crossfight that some feel they have to make, I personally have experienced this as well. Early last Sunday morning I noticed it on the home camera footage but after entering the Dojo and Crossfight the sight of this space overwhelmed me. Never before had I encountered such a mess, especially the large rack in the back. Wherever I looked, weights and the like were lying carelessly on the floor, a sight that at that moment made me despondent. So I gathered my courage and cleaned up the mess. Fortunately I got help from 2 men who took care of the heavy weights, thanks for your help, Bikkel and Bart.

Thursday it was that time again and this time it concerned the Fitness room. It was so bad that Jerry got a message on his phone where someone complained about the state of the Fitness. When regular classes end, our trainers always walk around both areas to inspect and clean up as needed. If you find someone making a mess of things, you are welcome to speak to that person.
It has even happened that someone made a comment and was immediately barked at with "what are you doing? Should this happen to you please let us know so we can take appropriate action.

Now the annoying fact occurred that for the past few days I was unable to watch footage back but fortunately this shortcoming has been remedied and from now on I am going to watch footage back with extra motivation and when necessary report it to Jerry so he can take appropriate action. It is as Jerry put it in his message on Facebook: One Gym One Fam so please respect our Valhalla and treat it nicely".

Registrations Vikin Run
Now on to some happier news. Last Tuesday we did the paperwork for the Viking Run, we can report that we have over ninety participants for this run. It was quite a time-consuming job because they also asked for the birth dates and mail addresses of the participants. Fortunately regarding the mail file I was able to satisfy with our mail address, people normally need this to let us know the start tickets, these start numbers are now coming to us and as soon as they are in we will let you know. With dates of birth I have tinkered here and there because in our membership file not all participants have filled in their date of birth.
All in all quite a job but I am happy to do it for our Dojo.

Pentecost
This coming weekend is Pentecost and we will be running a modified schedule as always. First Pentecost the regular Dojo will be closed and second Pentecost we will run a Sunday. Of course, the Fitness and Crossfight will be open both days and for drop owners 24/7.

BBQ & Drone
Late in the afternoon I received a phone call from Jerry asking if I would like to have a BBQ. I gratefully accepted his invitation. Bring the drone along so I can see if I can fly it. After the BBQ I prepared the drone and was ready to explain things to Jerry. Even before I could say anything he already had the controller in his hands, briefly explained the start-up procedure and before I was halfway through the explanation the drone was flying through the air like a madman. Don't go into too much detail but believe me the guy almost gave me a heart attack. Was surprised that afterwards there were still images on my SD card.
Edited some ( watchable ) footage of his flight as best I could and put it on facebook. Shot footage was just like jerry himself is, chaotic and you get giddy watching it. Then afterwards his little daughter Isi did a lot better, she soon had it in her little fingers. That the drone is still alive is truly a miracle.

Until my next blog.
Dick
