Octagon II

Morning Mass
Last Sunday, the Bag and Fitness training, popularly called "The Morning Mass", was led by The One and Only pastor, Ad Donkerlo. Because of the holiday that had started, quite a few disciples had come to it. Despite the little experience in the field of teaching, our pastor did an excellent job considering the compliments afterwards. Personally, I liked his playlist the most. Mostly music from my time, at least musicians I can appreciate. Ad, you are a worthy replacement for Mister Dojo Jerry.

Octagon
At the time of writing, the Crossfight room is being adapted to our new future toy, a real Octagon with sizes that are used at the UFC. The ceiling is tuned to this Octagon for the simple reason that the floor of this Octagon is 80 cm. is high. If we don't do this, the space between ceiling and floor will be too short, when everything is done, the gap will be 2.75 meters, which is more than enough. The Octagon itself will soon be made by construction company Brouwer in Naarden. This company has done excellent work in the past in both our gyms, including the suspension brackets of our punching bags. By the way, the Crossfight classes will continue as usual because as we are used to from Daan van de Kamp, after his working day everything looks and span.

Music
What caused a lot of irritation this week is the music area on the top floor. This continues to be a source of annoyance for us. Tuesday it was that time again, got a message that the music was not audible. Now you must know that the music system has been deliberately under lock and key for some time now. When I opened the door I immediately saw what was going on, really all the knobs and sliders had changed position. Spotify on the computer had also completely disappeared. For me a complete mystery who could have done such a thing, at first I thought of our friend Noëll because he had given the Crossfight lesson the night before. When questioned the next day, Noëll swore that he had checked everything when the Dojo was closed. Something that is the habit because it sometimes happens that the level has to be adjusted because it is quieter in the Fitness room after ten o'clock. Now I know that a few people have the key to the music cabinet, but when I asked them they didn't know who was responsible for it. A different lock will be made in the door this week and really no one will get a key so that direction is out of the question. Currently, a list of music is running that takes 3 days to start again and is downloaded from Spotify. This is because in the past there was sometimes a failure of the WiFi signal and with a downloaded list this can be prevented. Whatever the case, we are determined to make this irritation a thing of the past.
