New Year's Plunge
Guess everyone has that sometimes, a week where only the most necessary things come out of your hands. I even managed not to go outside last Monday.
Got up and put on my robe only to take it off when I went to bed at night. By the way, the whole week I only did things I enjoy doing, I did show my face at the Dojo for the daily cash check and in between shot some pictures for various actions that are planned concerning our Dojo. For the rest I could only be found behind my computer working on my second hobby. Whisky comes first but is immediately followed by everything to do with filming. Pretty recently I bought a special keyboard to process my recorded images in a much smoother way. Must say I am doing quite well, hardly use my mouse anymore when editing film footage. This week I also purchased a course on Adobe Première Pro, the program I use. It is an online training that explains step by step the most important elements for professional video editing. A certified Adobe trainer explains very clearly how to get the best possible results. There is a lot of material on You Tube from which I have learned the basics of editing, but this course goes a big step further for me with clear instructions. So enjoy it for me!!!
New Year's Plunge
Back to what my blog is primarily for, the ins and outs of our Dojo. This week there was an item on Facebook about an idea to organize a New Year's Dive by Burning Heart on January 1, 2017. In this item Jerry makes a call for as many members as possible to come to the beach de Vuntus in Oud Loosdrecht to take a dip in the Loosdrecht lakes to usher in the new year. Of course, non-members are welcome to join. This dive is accompanied by all kinds of refreshments such as Glühwein, pea soup, sausage rolls, etc.
The result was that the beach Vuntus seemed the most suitable for the New Year dive. You can park nearby which in our eyes is a must because of the expected temperature and we can all enter the water at the same time. From now on there is a registration form on the bar for participants in this dive, of course this dive will take place when there are enough participants! Jerry sponsors shirts and caps provided one actually goes under otherwise it is paying!
Of course I am ready with my film equipment to this unique event on the sensitive record to capture it later via you tube again to see. This happening is planned at 13.00 hours.
Octagon
Another thing on facebook is a call from Jerry to entrepreneurs. He has been walking around for months with the idea of putting up a giant Octacon ( 7 meters around ) in the crossfight. We've had a quiet look at everything, with some changes in the crossfight space, this is very feasible. So entrepreneurs among us, top advertising is your part for a period of no less than 10 years.
