New Trainer, New Year's Dive?

Kettlebell, Fitness, trail training, gym Burning Heart

And again the week has flown by with still beautiful late summer weather.  You wouldn't think it, but it's almost November, it's supposed to be autumn now with lots of falling leaves and in the morning cold, fog and the like, but nothing like this.  Not that I have any objections to this beautiful late summer weather, but it does give me food for thought.
At the dojo everything goes according to plan, well everything, but more about that later!  The renovation plans are slowly but surely starting to get a face and behind the scenes there are serious discussions about what it will look like.
We are now in the phase where we have to get down to business, because things have to be ordered in advance.
This Saturday, some cameras will get a new place, due to the changed set-up, especially in the fitness room. For example, a new camera will be installed at the entrance of the fitness where the lockers that will be built will soon be visible. The entrance to the various rooms will also be thoroughly changed, it is the intention that one will be led to the 2nd floor via the current bar, which will be shortened somewhat.
Where our office is still located, after the renovation you can reach the stairs to the gym through a door in this new space. Between the two staircases, a door is made that is closed during the day and one is therefore forced to take this route.
For the drippers, this door is opened at 22:00 so that one can go up in the "old-fashioned" way and closed again around 8:00.
What this person in particular is looking forward to is that one will soon have to enter through a mechanical entrance door, turnstile. That's what I meant by everything going according to plan, well, everything.
Despite countless requests to check in with your card, we constantly notice that some people don't care about that. With this new entrance, you can only enter with your pass, otherwise the gate won't open, so make sure you have your pass with you!!
We also hope to be able to act better in this way.  It is now too easy to just walk in, especially in the fitness room. Sometimes I come in at an unexpected moment during the weekend and every time I catch people who have no business at the gym, recently I saw on the camera 2 guys waiting in the hallway until someone else, an existing member, opened the door and they boldly followed him to then go to the gym.  That sport was short-lived for these people because I got rid of these people without any detours.  Because of these incidents, we are forced to tighten the reins at Burning Heart.  Of course, the majority of our members adhere to the rules that are normal and apply to every gym.

Kettlebell

Last Monday, Joop Kasteel gave the first kettlebell lesson for about 20 athletes.  From what I heard it was a great success, but tough with quite a bit of muscle pain afterwards, logical because you use other muscles.  Curious how big the number is next Monday.

New trainer

kickboxing, boxing, trainerHe had already taken over a bag of training when the need was great. He also filled in for Jerry during morning mass. The name is; Kervan Boom.
From now on, Kervan will take care of the technique lesson without sparring on Monday evenings.
We received so many nice reactions to Kervan's performance that we are very pleased to add him to our trainers' guild. We wish you the best of luck Kervan!
