It's Viking Time

Just a few more days and then the time has come, the second participation of Burning Heart in the Viking Run in Wijchen Nijmegen. The weather forecast is not very good for a performance run. Now the weather is totally unimaginable and especially in our country but it looks like it's going to be pretty hot next Sunday, on the other hand, especially for me as a filmer, no rain is expected. What I absolutely can't use is wetness because then filming becomes a lot more difficult. Transport has been arranged, shirts are on their way, By The Way, received a compliment from the organization of the Viking Run regarding our outfit, the employee thinks they are "incredibly cool".
What is going to be a problem is the drinking on the way, hope the organization has found something for that. It is difficult to carry a drinking cup with the countless obstacles.

Flying lessons
If all goes well, I have motorized transport in the form of the Burning Heart moped. The intention is to put the mud part on film. Don't read anything in the regulations about using the drone, but definitely want to fly it over the mud baths. Recently had some flying lessons with our drone in Almere and it was very educational. On a remote part of Almere, I was able to enjoy myself on a meadow between the windmills. A really nice piece of technology, such a drone, is permanently monitored by at least 12 satellites. Droneland, in the form of instructor Tim, thank you very much for your wise lessons.

Check in
Since last Saturday we have new recording equipment with ditto software that makes it a lot easier to see images from our cameras. Marcel G., don't know if he wants his full name mentioned hence the abbreviation, if you are interested in this equipment yourself, name is known to me, has done a great job with this software. It's now extremely easy to see images back and somehow it's paying off. Since installation, it's been a lot tidier and the 24/7 check-in is as we envisioned. Watch the images early in the morning and regularly see 4 people arrive who check in neatly one by one with the drop. What is still a major source of annoyance is the groups of people who do not check in both upstairs and downstairs. One person opens the door with his card and the others follow mother goose like chicks. What a hassle it is to hold your card in front of the scanner. This also applies to the first floor, recently I saw a whole procession arrive at home that just walked on while an employee of ours was standing behind the computer. We have pointed out to our trainers and bartenders for the umpteenth time that they ensure that everyone checks in and the emphasis on everyone else.
Realize that it is primarily for your own safety!!

Happy Summer Dance
Just over 5 weeks to go and our first final dance of Dance 3 in theater Gooiland is a fact. At the moment, the Kids are busy practising to appear as good as possible on the stage of a real theatre. Last Saturday afternoon I was present at the Spant in Bussum where my youngest granddaughter had a similar party. Enjoyed the various performances and the fanaticism of some of the children to present themselves to their parents and relatives. Afterwards, all the dancers were on stage to receive a deafening applause. It made a big impression on me to see all those happy faces. So folks, buy tickets for the Happy Summer Dance on July 12 theater Gooiland, starting at 18.00 and enjoy their first performance on a real stage just like the Kids!

Until my next blog.
Dick
