Crossfight / Octagon

This week went by very well. You sometimes have those days when everything is fine, except for the pain in my back this has been such a week. Last Tuesday the base of the Octagon was placed in our Dojo. An iron frame that was brought up in parts and welded together on the spot. The Brouwer company has done a great job so far, the frame was in place very quickly. A day later it was Daan van de Kamp's turn to lay the wooden floor. It was questionable whether Daan could understand with just one layer but after Mister Dojo himself tested the floor we decided to put a second layer on top because the suspension was such that this seemed wiser. Cost us extra money but prevention is better than cure in this case. Shouldn't think about doing it all over again afterwards. The wait is now for the Octagon to be finished which is scheduled for next week.

Crossfight / Octagon
Before we started this job there was some doubt whether everything would turn out well in terms of space. Because Jerry definitely wanted the maximum dimensions of an Octagon and his wife had her doubts about his decision to place an Octagon. After placing this ring we can say that things turned out positively. Especially after rearranging the Crossfight space.
For example, the metal rack has changed places and that alone has created a sea of space. Another added benefit is that one can look at oneself in the mirror during exercises. In the corner where the frame now stands, the current mirror wall doubles in size. We sometimes got comments that there are not enough mirrors in the Crossfight room. Now this room is surrounded by windows so that explains that there is hardly any room for a mirror However in the corner a window will now be removed and there will be the extension of the mirror wall. The treadmills have been put in a separate room except for one where one wall will consist of mirrors. The third treadmill will be used during the Parcour classes. The intention is to place a T.V. above the two treadmills in the separate room so that there is sufficient distraction during the running work.
The 480 trainer is also in the same room as the treadmills but is not intended for general use. Only by appointment and consultation may this equipment be used.

Dance Dance Dance
This week I was active at Dance 3, last Saturday I shot some images of the class that does toddler ballet. Really very touching when you see the girls in their pink ballet suits under the guidance of Manon doing their exercises. You can see a video of this on the site of Dance 3, today I made a promo of 15 seconds for a facebook campaign. Later in the week I shot some footage of the new disco dancing that was recently introduced at Dance 3. I actually got to shoot some footage with the ladies and believe me this dance form is contagious. Had a hard time keeping my camera still because the music they play is oh so good, it's that I physically can't do it anymore but I would love to join in.

Strong Viking Edition
You can't get there early enough, this Monday registration opens for the royal number of currently so popular runs, Strong Viking Water edition !!! Date June 18. Last year the first and in my humble opinion the most fun run we did with about 60 people. It is the intention to be present a bit earlier so there is enough time to celebrate after the Run. It is also the intention to go to Wijchen with a tour bus so that everyone can have a beer or something similar afterwards.
