Burning heart: Alistair Overeem!!
Dear followers,
I've mentioned it before but how fast time goes by. And for once I don't mean that it has been a week since I sat at my computer to pen down blog 5 but in this case the fact that last Monday I reached the age of 70.
It's quite a milestone but I still want to continue, of course everything is a bit more difficult when you arrive in the autumn of life but so far you can find me 7 days a week in the dojo and I have no intention of changing that.
Another small note on this topic, what an impressive number of congratulations I received via facebook regarding my birthday, over 330.
The ball is in the court regarding Alistair Overeem's seminar that he will be giving at our dojo. The date is Saturday afternoon, March 5, in our calendar and it is at 4:00 pm.
Normally this topper from the kickboxing and MMA world is priceless for a demonstration at a gym like Burning Heart but Jerry was able to arrange this seminar through his management.
As with previous seminars by current and former toppers from our sports world, it is definitely advisable to sign up soon to avoid disappointment. Details will be given as soon as possible through the known channels, but it is known that the own contribution is € 25,00.
Furthermore, everything will be recorded on video so that this unique event can be viewed via you tube. To speak with Jerry BAM!!!, here are some names of people who visited our dojo before: Raymond Dekkers, Bob and Irma Schreiber, Raymond Joval, Mike Passenier, Tyrene Spong, Gago Drago, Gilbert Yvel, Ernesto Hoost and Red Cairo, not the first of the best.
Further what is worth mentioning, our elevator is working again. Due to a stupid action the elevator has been out of order for weeks. A specific part that was flown to the Netherlands via Switzerland has ensured that the elevator works properly again, believe me if anyone is happy about this it is me.
Finally, you may have noticed, in the downstairs hallway there are 5 new punching bag supports destined for our dojo. When these are assembled, the number of suspension supports on the second floor will have come to the respectable number of 49. In other words, assuming 2 people per bag, soon 98 people will be able to attend bag training at the same time.
