When I was 7 years old I started judo which I did until I was 28 years old. In 2007 I came into contact with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu because a newcomer came to train with me during judo lessons and constantly knocked me down on the ground. He turned out to be a blue belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I joined Team Agua Amsterdam and was sold. Shortly thereafter I started training with Team Kaishin Almere under the guidance of Henk Heneweer.
