Anthony, Staken, Gala The Hague and an old acquaintance!

Not so good a week behind us and in this case not only figuratively but also literally. Severe back pain for a few days now and I don't see much improvement. More trouble but this time very annoying, constantly changing position, standing is the best but is very tiring. At the time of writing, it's 3:30 a.m. Thursday morning! But yes, just accept it in the hope that it will pass soon.

Anthony Oosterlaag
From the beginning of the opening of our Fitness room, you will see Anthony Oosterlaag almost every day and you will see him busy with dumbbells and the like. Anthony is an avid Bodybuilder and takes his sport very seriously and even does so at Competition level. It often happens that he visits our Dojo several times a day to train. Last Sunday, September 24th, there was a Bodybuilder event in theater de Tamboer in Hoogeveen and there was a battle for the Enercup. After the Enercup ended at the end of the afternoon, it was time for the NAC A-class selection competition for possible participation in the Mister Universe (an international world championship) which will be held on November 25 in Hamburg, Germany. In the class where Anthony competes (class 2 173-179cm) 14 A-athletes had initially registered. In the end, 2 athletes dropped out because in their opinion the level was too high for these participants. Anthony, together with 11 other top A-athletes, showed his skills in front of the main jury who would choose the 5-6 best of these 12 to compete for the title of Mister Universe in Hamburg. For me, of course, Anthony was appointed together with 2 other bodybuilders for the aforementioned event. Admire his impressive torso on our Dojo every day and experience that bodybuilder is a top sport where you can't slack off for a moment. From this side I wish Anthony Oosterlaag all the success in the world with his team Holland at the upcoming competition in Hamburg!

Message from Jerry on facebook: Strikes in Primary Education
On October 5, teachers in primary education are going on strike! Because full-day care is expensive and very full, everyone can bring their child to us and they are entertained all day long!! All kinds of dancing, a bit of boxing, judo, acting crazy, drawing, watching a movie, setting out courses indoors etc etc. Our whole team including me Jer will pull out all the stops and keep in mind that they will sleep very well!! Costs are 25 euros and registration via PM and mail: info@burning-heart.nl. Sign up before Monday 2 October!! Pass on, share and tag because this is once again unique and super fun!! Not even members, of course. Continuation of this childcare with registration of at least 30 kids!!

Dojo youth at gala in The Hague
On the 8th of October we have a nice gala in The Hague where Chris, Kiki, Ayoub and Menno will perform in the ring. Tickets for this gala are available at our dojo.
It is a limited number so don't wait too long, the tickets cost € 20.00, at the venue € 25.00.

Old acquaintance at Burning Heart
At our gala a few years ago, A Night to Remember, the sympathetic Thai Kongfah Sitmonchai could be admired. He was the main party and closing act of the gala. In preparation for that gala he visited our Dojo, partly due to the fact that his Dutch girlfriend, Hanna de Vet, played sports with us.
Now he is back together with his brother Yodkhunnon who will stay in shape with us in preparation for his match next Saturday at the gala of Glory 45 in Amsterdam's sports halls South. Nice to shake hands with this boy again after those few years.

Until my next blog.
Dick
