Abbi, Nicky and Viking Run?

Just stuck my nose outside the door and verily it is quite a bit of winter now. Fortunately a dry frost though so no car windows to defrost in the morning.
On the road it is clearly noticeable that it's crocus vacation in our area, no or hardly any congestion in the otherwise quite busy Hilversum area.
Nice weather for an extra visit to our gym.?
Had actually expected a quiet weekend at our dojo but there is little sign of a vacation. Over 300 visitors find their way to Burning Heart every day, quite a good number.
When I glance at the security cameras next to me, I see that the gym is filled with athletes who work out at this time of day, 7:50 am.
The other gyms aren't open yet so there's not much going on there, normally I see Jeremy doing personal training but he's enjoying a well-deserved vacation on the island of Bali. Speaking of Jeremy, he is quite a comedian, which is the case, he had booked a vacation to beautiful Bali but had convinced his girlfriend that they were going to Thailand for 10 days. He had even had pictures sent through his travel organizer of a so-called hostel in the capital city of Bangkok where they were staying those 10 days. This hostel had a shared shower room and bunk beds. You understand Jeremy's girlfriend's enthusiasm was quite tempered upon seeing the lodging accommodation. At the airport, however, he had to butt out due to the fact that the destination was not Thailand but the beautiful island of Bali. Can quite appreciate this kind of humor. Hope they both have an unforgettable vacation.
So this was the introduction, on to the worries of our dojo.

Result

Last weekend, 2 Burning Heart athletes were in action, Adbillah el Balotti, known to us as Abbi, at a boxing gala last Saturday the following day Nicky Ritfeld who fought an MMA match.
To start with Abbi, this sympathetic boxer who can be found weekly on Tuesday and Thursday nights during boxing hour has been in the ring again after 6 years. He fought a superb match as did his opponent with an undecided result. It seems to have been a beast of a match according to Jerry via his message on facebook.
Supervisors at this party were successively, Sahlid Githel, Kervan Boom and Rico Stuivenberg.
Nicky Ritfeld stood in the ring on Sunday and won his match!
Accompanying him were, Jimmy van Bemmel and Daan van Velzen, our MMA trainer.

Taint
Last weekend I regretfully observed that our nevertheless clear rules regarding the use of the so-called drop was abused.
Upon reviewing the remote playback footage, I saw that 2 people went in on one drop and this repeated itself upon entering the gym.
When issuing drop, it is specifically pointed out that it is strictly personal!!!
In other words, one may not let anyone in other than the owner of this drop. Have blocked conscious individuals immediately and sent an email explaining why. I am particularly vehement about this because we are risking the permit of being open 24 hours. Fortunately I received a call the same morning and was able to explain why I had acted this way. After discussion and confirmation that this would not happen again, individuals unblocked with the comment that if it happened again it was exit Burning Heart.

Strong Viking Run Water edition
You shouldn't think about it now with these cold temperatures outside but before you know it, the Strong Viking Run Water edition in Wijchen will be here again.
Saturday, June 23, start time 12.00 pm, is the third time that we as Burning Heart participate in this spectacle.
We have chosen Saturday this time so that the hopefully large number of participants on behalf of Burning Heart can recover a bit the next day.
What is also planned slightly differently is that we want to go home early as opposed to last time when we went home late.
It is our intention to arrange a BBQ in our parking lot after the bus trip.
The costs are just like the last edition € 50.00, if you want to travel with the double decker € 10.00 will be added. The next 3 weeks you can sign up at the front desk, don't forget to mention the size of the T-shirt and whether you will use the bus trip.
Please do not forget to pay in cash at registration, we cannot accept debit cards because of administration!
