24/7 fitness, drops convert pretty important!

dojo, gym, Burning Heart

Holidays are over, schools have started, in short, normal life has started again. For me, not much changes, as a pensioner almost every day is the same with a break from the weekend because I work bar duty. Don't miss the time at Otopoets when I was still fully involved, it's been insanely busy lately but at the beginning of the new year there will be a little bit more. It was a time of reason at zero and just ramming on, one new car after another and February was the used car month because of the trade-in of cars. Because of the blood clot in my head that came to an abrupt end about 6 years ago, I'm not a man who gives up so now I concentrate fully on dojo Burning Heart. Hope to keep that up for many more years, will be 72 years old next month but in my mind I feel years younger. Physically, it's a bit different, but we don't complain about that. At the time of writing, it's early Monday morning, the clock is just ticking 6 o'clock in the morning. When I wake up I'm really awake and can't stay in bed, hence the early hour. I'm also active immediately after waking up so I thought I'd start my weekly blog then at least there's something on paper. One of the things I keep running into when writing my blog is the fact that there is not much new to tell, but I usually manage to put a blog together. I look at the screen with the cameras and see that there is a lot of sports going on at this early hour. Count about 9 people who are busy, including Bouke with 2 candidates. Life can sometimes be hard for a personal trainer ?

HALL DOWNSTAIRS
You will undoubtedly have noticed that the entrance is empty again. The mats that have already been sold and paid for were supposed to be picked up long before Christmas, but until today that has not happened. It became an increasing annoyance for us those piled mats in the hall, now they have been temporarily moved to Otopoets' new department, waiting to be picked up.

CONVERTING DROPS
There is little progress in converting the drops to the new system, despite the clear announcement that adorns the entrance door. We currently have just under 280 drops released, including 29 new users. The system currently indicates that 66 people have converted their drop, so it is best to foresee problems at the end of January when the "old system" is removed. Part of the purchase of the new system is that we have to hand in the old system. There is an appointment with the fa. Mauer, the supplier, that such a thing will take place at the end of January. I'm afraid that quite a few people will bump their noses when the old system is removed. Problem for us is, how do we reach the people who are in possession of a drop, not everyone is active on facebook or reads my blog. Now we can send an email to point out that at the end of the month you can no longer enter after 22:00 without a working drop, but not everyone has entered their email address on the registration form. I think we'll get quite a few angry athletes at the desk after the end of January, but so be it! Conversion is a piece of cake, so drop by the counter.

CLOTHING LEFT BEHIND
It is quite common that clothes are left behind in our changing rooms and I don't mean shirts, towels and the like, but quite designer clothes or what looks like them. Behind the wall, in front of the toilet, there is a red-colored closed laundry basket where these clothes are stored for a while. Often the number of clothes left behind increases so quickly that after a week this basket bulges. At the moment there are some items of clothing hanging over the wall that are a shame to throw away, but hopefully you understand that we don't have storage space for clothes left behind. These clothes stay on for a few days and then they go to the clothes bin at Albert Heijn. Also left behind drinking cups grow by the day, sometimes more than 5 pieces that we get from the dressing room. Again, these cups ended up in the garbage container, simply because we have such a collection in no time that it becomes impossible to keep them.

DIRECT DEBIT
The number of chargebacks has been getting alarmingly out of hand lately and is giving us a lot of work. Daphne, who has taken on this task, has been busy with these reversals for almost a week. Ab Stuivenberg, who is in charge of the cash payers, is also regularly busy blocking these defaulters for one afternoon a month. Folks, please pay attention when things go wrong with the direct debit and if it does happen, fix it as soon as possible because we are going to monitor this more strictly. As far as the cash payers are concerned, know a month goes by quickly, but make sure in time that there is a cross next to the coming month.

Until the next blog
Dick
