Judo

From a foundation of respect and a large dose of fun, we teach children to defend themselves. Judo classes at Burning Heart consist of a number of components. An important part is learning how to fall, or while falling. The judokas learn to land on the judo mat without hurting themselves. Of course, our judokas also learn many judo techniques. These can be both ground and standing techniques, for example, a holding grip.

Judo is a sport that children do not easily get bored of, partly because there is so much to learn. Burning Heart regularly organizes judo exams. We do this to teach the judokas how to work towards their goals and maintain motivation.

Of course, the judo kids who come to us don't always have a judo suit right away. No problem, that all comes later! Everyone can just put on what they feel comfortable in.

Rowing Champions

The frolic champions are our judokas between 2.5 and 4 years old. Toddlers are always on the go; Discovering, frolicking, climbing, clambering and so on. It's all part of it! During the judo lessons at Burning Heart, the children are given plenty of space for this and develop their motor skills at an unprecedented rate.

Some judokas feel right at home and some need a while to get used to it. Many toddlers love to play sports with their parents, it gives them a lot of fun and a safe feeling. That's why the parents come with us on the mat! And secretly, some parents like it much more than the child itself. Isn't it a nice solution to play around with your own future judoka for half an hour after a busy working week?
