T-shirts Viking Run

Thursday morning, the usual time to write my blog. Also this time little to no noteworthy things happened at the dojo.
Privately I had an exciting weekend that was quite nerve-wracking but I won't elaborate on it because the person in question doesn't want to publicize this. Fortunately, the weather is acceptable, an acceptable temperature in my apartment with results. Maybe it's because I'm getting a bit older, but I'm not going to like that stuffy weather. Temperature of about 24 degrees outside suits me best.
Max Verstappen's race last Sunday was a bit disappointing, actually quite boring. Another podium place for him.
Today, Thursday, the World Cup starts, unfortunately without Holland. But with the current selection, we have little to nothing to do with Russia. Time to move on to the worries at our dojo that are not really numerous in the past week, I have been working all week on for items worth mentioning but there is not much.

Shirts Viking Run

This week the shirts that we are going to wear during the Viking Run in Nijmegen are ready. This time the choice of shirt color has become green, the previous editions the colors were respectively yellow and red. With more than 90 people we start and it is the intention to leave from the dojo from 9.00 am to Nijmegen. Whether I will be there myself this time is still a question mark, I am dreading it because of my physical condition, walking is not going well for me at the moment and that is a requirement with this day. After about 100 meters, my right leg starts working against me and dragging more or less, which is extremely tiring for me. On the other hand, I've always been there, so I'm seriously doubtful.

Anna's Hoeve

In preparation for the upcoming 2nd exam for our youth, Jeremy took a group of candidates to the Anna's Hoevense berg last Saturday morning. Uphill, downhill was the motto. I can still remember the time when I did this ritual many times. In my active football career at football club Donar, this was a regular fixture at the beginning of the competition. Always tried to cut corners, how I hated that mountain.

Dance 3

Less than a month, the 2nd performance of our dance department is just around the corner. At the moment there is plenty of practice by our dancers to appear as good as possible during the performance in theater Gooiland on Saturday 7 July. Ticket sales are going well, we hope for a full house and it will look like that.
If you can't make it, the show will be captured on film and put on a USB stick. Available for the mere amount of € 15.00. It's going to be quite exciting for me because the filmmaker is me?
Together with buddy René I'm going to do that, knowing that it has to work in one go because it's a live performance. I have practiced everything countless times and prepared myself as well as possible, want to record it with multiple cameras so nothing can go wrong that day. Normally you make sure that the lighting is in order, but of course you are not allowed to use film lights because such a thing would be very disturbing. Fortunately, I can go at 9:00 am on the day itself, so I can play around with the ISO values in advance.

A somewhat shorter blog but I don't have any more topics that are interesting for my blog this week. Maybe I'll tell you more next week.
