Pitbull Sixty Dick

There is no end to the beautiful summer weather, the weather forecast always shows sun-drenched pictures. A big disadvantage is that there is not a drop of precipitation in the offing, nature longs for a heavy rain shower. Finally ended up in calmer waters as far as my person is concerned.
After the performance in theater Gooiland of our dance school experienced some hectic days, started with the mystery guest and the day after at the request of the production team of Mijn zaak is de Beste to be present at the recordings of this program. This nice team guides during the day and made sure that coffee and the like was ready.
At the end of the afternoon we had dinner together in the office and I wanted to go home but had to be ready for a short interview.
Sitting on a bar stool looking at the camera images, the interviewer asked for my nickname at one point, I immediately responded with sixtydick.
She looked at me a bit surprised and said gosh, I thought you were known at the dojo by the name of the pit bull. This needs a little explanation, jerry repeatedly told the people on the production team that I kept an eye on everything that happens at the dojo. Especially what might happen at our dojo during the night hours and sometimes jokingly calls me the pit bull of our dojo.
My first reaction, however, was the name, sixtydick, by which I have been known for years in the whisky world, which is why I immediately thought of this name.
All in all, a fun but tiring day and people, put August 1 in your agenda because then My case is the Best will be broadcast on primetime on RTL 4.
I do want to tell you that the result has certainly been very surprising for us.
From what I understood afterwards, the production team thought the broadcast that was about gyms was the best and most fun broadcast of the series.
The following days I was only busy with editing the gig in Gooiland.
Had made the recordings with 2 cameras that recorded images simultaneously, rented both cameras from van Dalen for a reasonable price. With a program called multicam from Premiere Pro the images were edited, but in some shots the lighting on stage was well below par. With recordings of e.g. RTL, such a broadcast is professionally highlighted, but our budget did not allow that, so I had to make do with what I had. With the help of a purchased program, Neatvideo, the images in question, which showed a lot of noise, were able to bring the whole thing to an acceptable level.
An example, certain dance scene of more than 3 minutes, which turned out to be underexposed, can easily take you about 2 hours to repair. Fortunately, this was not the case for all scenes. Nice but very intensive work, with the final result quite satisfied ?
When the movie was finally finished I wanted to put it on a USB stick to watch on my own big TV, great was my surprise that this didn't work despite there being enough space on the stick. After consulting Google, the solution was to format the USB stick. Had to convert the stick to NTSF, which can hold files larger than 4 GB. at.
Pretty long preface on my blog, now on to the daily stuff.

New equipment for the fitness room

During the filming of My Case is the Best, Jerry came into contact with an opponent. The name is Remco Windsant of Legend Gym in The Hague. Those 2 got along well from the start and that has resulted in the purchase of 3 new devices that will be delivered at the beginning of September. The nice thing is that it is a Dutch brand, Fitrixx, and the price/quality ratio is superb.
The three devices are a huge addition and can be used in multiple ways. On Jerry's facebook site you can see these devices with an explanation from Remco!

New classes at Burning Heart

It's still early, but let you know that in the month of September there will be at least 2 new classes on the already crowded range of classes at Burning Heart. One of these will be street self-defence for women only and will be taught by Maik Konstandinites, well known for the current street defence classes. What is special about this is that this new lesson responds to daily moments that ladies may encounter and makes them resilient to these incidents. The other new class is the well-known kettlebell. Some time ago, Joop approached Daphne and Jerry Castle with a very nice proposal. In the month of September, this giant will teach the correct use of kettlebell exercises, lessons that will benefit you a lot for both women and men.
We at Burning Heart find these lessons a welcome addition.

Boxing report of Dick Jasper's match

Recently, Dick Jasper, who has been boxing for a year, boxed his first match in Alkmaar. Dick did an internship with Jeremy for a while and thought it was time for his first game. Dick's opponent already had several youth games to his name and trains at SER's Gym. Jasper clearly proved to be the strongest despite his opponent's intimidating behavior before the start. At one point, Dick's opponent started using his knees out of frustration and that resulted in the opponent's trainer throwing in the towel because he feared that his pupil would not make it to the end. Afterwards, it turned out that this pupil had also broken his nose. Unfortunately, Jeremy could not be present due to personal circumstances, but through facetime he coached Dick and gave instructions through Salith.
A great result from Dick Jasper!!
