Finishers Viking Run 2018

Viking Run 2018, gym Burning ~Heart

Time for a normal blog like you are used to from me. Previous blog was all about the unexpected and painful events concerning my cat. Last update on that, after a conversation with the vet, the conclusion is that there is no idea how long the animal can live on painlessly. Can be short but also a little longer, keep a close eye on his behavior and when I really notice that she is starting to show abnormal behavior I contact the vet. At the moment my cat is still eating well, regularly sits on her bowl for her needs, in other words she behaves quite normally.

For a long time I was in doubt, whether or not I will go to the Viking Run. When I get up in the morning, I immediately feel how my leg is doing, is it doable or will it be a day that everything is a bit more difficult. Last Saturday, Viking run day, it felt reasonable so I decided to go to Wijchen. Glad I had decided that because despite the fact that I had a feeling in my leg the days after whether it was made of concrete, I fully enjoyed this beautiful day.
See a short report of this happening.

Looking back at the Obstacle Viking run in Wijchen Nijmegen.

Early in the morning we were present at the dojo because we didn't know when the first Viking runner would be present, Bikkel and his mother arrived first. Soon the bar was occupied with coffee drinkers and plenty of help handing out the special shirts and ankle bracelets for the run. Sat in my squeaky bag for a while to see if the bus was coming, arrived fifteen minutes late, in a cheerful mood and busy chatting on my way to the Viking Run 2018 in Wijchen. The ride went smoothly and after about an hour and a half we reached our destination. Because everyone had their admission ticket in their hands in advance, they went through the security without any problems and were on our way to a familiar spot on the course.
Some stretching, others casually pacing back and forth, we await the start. Exactly 12 o'clock the group of Burning Heart started, most of them 13 kilometers. Luckily for me, the best attractions were within walking distance and right on time we were at the water swing where Jerry could indulge his skills as a filmmaker. Had some trouble climbing up the slippery hill so gave camera to Jerry. Only smiling faces filmed as they went under, one coughing and spluttering, the other tough and determined. Then I shot some images of the slide, struggling to recognize people because I had to look at a bright sky.
In particular, we were able to capture our trainer Jeremy on camera and actually discovered jerry who of course did not ignore the slide. He did not participate in the run due to the risk of getting injured but had to go down the slide. The return trip was scheduled for 4:30 p.m. and we left for home around 5:00 p.m. All in all, another very successful day with fortunately no injuries, although some immediately suffered from muscle pain.

Booklets performance Dance have arrived

It's fast approaching, the end-of-season performance in theater Gooiland. To add lustre to a few things, our graphic designer has designed a matching booklet in which the dances to be performed are described in detail. Our dancers will be in action a total of 22 times and it promises to be a fantastic performance in advance.

Youth present at galas

This Saturday, Sam, Ayoub, Chris and Kiki will compete at the Youth Open Championship for the Dutch title in the Galgenwaard sports center in Utrecht. On Sunday, Phillip, Duncan and Jamie will be present at the group sparring future champs. A kind of demo in which the participants are carefully introduced to possible competitions. This will take place in Wijk bij Duurstede.

Until my next blog,
Dick
