We're Back!

Burning Heart, Chloe, New Zealand

Thursday morning, a regular time to write my blog.

Enjoy my 2nd cup of coffee, shaggie in the corner of my mouth, now let's see if we can make it a nice readable blog.
See on the camera images that there is plenty of activity at the dojo and actually everyone present in the gym uses a towel, would the many calls have helped a bit? On a private level, after a month I was able to welcome Chloé back after a fantastic trip to faraway New Zealand, together with her grandmother, to visit the family of Daphne's twin brother. For her, it was a journey in her young life that left indelible impressions. Up to a parachute jump, really a daughter of her father.
At the dojo, the occupancy rate is slowly but surely going back to normal.
When my next blog appears, I hope to be able to present the new schedule that is currently being worked on.
It will be a schedule that Samantha will no longer be in on Tuesdays, Sam will fully focus on her own gym and she will also pick up the competition again.
Sam is also getting a year older and I have experienced up close that preparing for a competition takes quite a bit. Almost every day she chugs back and forth to Vos Gym in Amsterdam where she trains to get to the top level. From here, good luck in the future Samantha!

Open day Dance Dance Dance and Ladies Only

On Saturday 8 September, the doors of Dance 3 and Ladies Only will open for an open day.
This open day starts at 13:00 and ends around 16:30.  During the Open Day, everyone can follow our open dance classes and we can talk to anyone who has questions. In addition, there will be various dance demonstrations performed by dance groups from the dance school. So come along, sign up for a trial month of dancing in September and dance for free for 1 month!

Thunder door fitness room.

It is a great annoyance of Jerry and me that the door to the gym is regularly open. Countless times the entire trade reset however result..... no.  Marcel and Daniel, who installed the installation, couldn't figure out why the door was sometimes open. Epass, which supplied the scanners, also called more than once to see if they could find out why this was happening. By sheer coincidence, our cleaner Ronnie Stuivenberg found out. He was waiting on the 2nd floor when he noticed that the door spontaneously jumped open, at the same time Ronnie noticed that the lights on the 1st floor went out by means of a detection switch that ensures when there is no movement the lights turn off automatically. Ronnie, who has a good brain, added up 1 and 1 and after trying it out a few times, he concluded that the opening of the door had to do with the switch that controls the lights. With this knowledge he informed me and after checking this I came to the same conclusion.
Both Marcel and Daniel are currently on holiday but when one of them returns I will share our findings so that this problem will be solved quickly. So you see, a stupid coincidence has brought this to light. It is a confirmation that the scanning device wakes up properly because in the event of an interruption of the power, the door should be unlocked immediately, such as emergencies.

Photo at blog

I like it when my blog is brightened up with images that have something to do with my blog.  Sometimes I consult images from Google, like when I talked about skating in my salutation. Don't remember which blog but remember something like that. Usually it's one sentence, at most two because I like to write something about things that have caught my attention. Great was my surprise this week when I emptied the mailbox of our dojo and there was a letter from Belgium among them. It was a letter about copyright and if Burning Heart wanted to transfer € 318.00 because I had used that photo.

Changed means of transport

Almost everyone knows that I have been driving the red C1 Citroén for years.  Recently, the engine was making some strange noises that I didn't like. After consulting with jerry I exchanged my trusty C1 for the black Volkswagen Up, which I have to admit drives just as well as the C1.
So no more advertising for Otopoets but now Dance Dance Dance.
Big advantage is in addition to the 4 doors, nowadays I sometimes have to go to Laren to take my grandkids to school, which is a bit more comfortable for them.
Another advantage is that this Up can be locked, something that was not possible with the C1 for a while because the locks were defective. Nowadays I transport quite expensive film equipment and then it is handy that something like this is under lock and key when I visit Albert Heijn, for example.

This was what I had to report this week.
Until my next blog,

Dick.
