Gago & Abman

Thought to have a quiet week but babysitting 2 growing girls is not really easy, especially when they have the same characters.
Jerry is with Isi and Daphne enjoying a break on the other side of the globe so Grandpa is the hare. It's a week of constant shuttling between all sorts of locations with Jerry's home base being Jerry's house. Also, Daphne has saddled me with our website phone service. Am amazed at how often people want information and how varied the questions are.

Roster and Fitness
Most questions are about our roster, somehow the roster is seemingly hard to find. Got a phone call this afternoon from an unnamed person who recently got a Fitness membership and was amazed at how some people handle the equipment and neglect to clean up after their used equipment. Now this is also a thorn in the side of the staff of our Dojo and we too regularly find that people disregard our request to treat the equipment with respect and not, for example, throw weights in a pile. I have often made the request, on Facebook or via my blog, for a little cooperation and to put the weights back in place after use. So for the umpteenth time a call to the people this concerns, cooperate.

Gago & Abman
Since October 1, on Wednesday nights, Kickboxing legend Gago Drago Abman assists at boxing bag training and at 8:30 p.m. he teaches his own technique class.
To advertise this a bit, these 2 are recording a video for these classes that can be seen on Facebook. The videos recorded by that duo are always of a rare high level and laced with humor, what stands out is the toning ;-). But no kidding, Gago's technique class is well worth taking and can highly recommend it.

Ladies Only
That people at Ladies Only strictly follow the word only I experienced last Tuesday night. Chloe was having a party at her neighbors, the firm Otopoets, and I was trying to keep 25 screaming children in check this evening. The coffee machine at Otopoets is currently broken and at one point I got a craving for coffee.
Suddenly I thought, what the hell, I'll just pop into our new branch because there's delicious coffee available. I went in and was immediately informed that it was for ladies only. Surprised, I responded that the entrance was for both ladies and men and I had absolutely no intention of going up the stairs.
Now it turns out that there is still a curtain missing that closes off the view if necessary from glimpses of men, there were quite a few ladies on the dance floor at the time.
This curtain is currently being made and once finished will be hung in the entrance hall.
Still, I grabbed a cup of coffee and very promptly left to resume my function as doorman.

Until the next blog.
Dick
