How fast a week goes when you are super busy.
We are in the middle of rebuilding our branch on Franciscusweg 351 next to Otopoets and although everything seems to be going according to plan, I wish a day would take a little longer.
Especially since we are still without light, understandably our landlord would like to have a split meter for both electricity and gas so that means quite a conversion.
Now it's hard to get an electrician on very short notice but Jerry found one who has done work for us before but has to do everything after his current job with his employer. In other words, just after 5 p.m. he will come and leave again when it gets dark.
But as it looks now it will all work out in time.
Means we can't do much in the evening hours so everything has to be done during the day.

That we have not been sitting still is thunderously obvious, it has been said a few times already and say it again, how much I admire Daan van de Kamp. That guy goes on and on and has an appropriate solution for everything. Can safely say that without his efforts the target date of October 1 would be in trouble. Take the ceiling in the dance area, the current plates were of such a lousy standard that they really had to be replaced, and an interim check of the supporting structure revealed that the dimensions were slightly different from the usual size.
Because a complete replacement of the framework was not an option due to the budget, we still managed to get new ceiling tiles so that everything will look great.

With the help of some members of Burning Heart a complete subfloor was realized in a few days, which will serve as the basis for our dance floor.
In the visible part of the downstairs area, at the moment of writing, there is a decent laminate floor that is completely finished, except for some skirting boards.
Also the staircase after the second floor is completely changed, at first there were 2 stairs with a platform now there is a staircase that goes up Linia Recta. With a good week to go there is light on the horizon and I am convinced that it is going to be a very beautiful 2nd gym, Ladies Only, and an equally beautiful dance school, Dance Dance Dance, with a very motivated bunch of teachers.

Not only Daphne and Jerry have worked overtime and are still doing so, also a big compliment to our webmaster René Taling who has done a tremendous job in a very short time.

Enough about the progress of Burning Heart 2, things are also changing at our current facility. The current light boxes are being replaced with Led lighting. As you can see, we are moving with the times with this cost-saving replacement.

There is another whirlwind week ahead for all involved in our realization of Rise of an Empire and can't wait to get going again tomorrow on Francis Road 351.
Just a little more patience and that will continue with short instructional videos from our teachers.
Believe it or not, at first I had to chase Jeremy, Noëll, Twan and others for making these kinds of videos, which by the way are very well viewed, now the roles are reversed and I regularly get requests from us teachers for making new videos.
You understand that currently I lack the time for making these entertaining instructional videos but as soon as everything is up and running at our new facility I will be back in the starting blocks.
By the way, on Saturday, October 1, at our open day Franciscusweg 351, I will act as photo and camera man to capture everything on film and, as you are used to from me, present it very quickly on Facebook, among other things.
