Dumbells

Thursday evening i.e. time to pen down my weekly blog.
Sometimes I have several articles in my head well in advance that are suitable to include in my blog, other Thursdays I have no idea what to write about but along the way the inspiration comes naturally.

Latest news Obstacle Run
Start by once again paying attention to next Saturday, for many of the participants the challenge of the year: The Obstacle Run in Nijmegen.

The "bussie" is arranged as far as I know so we will leave from Dojo Burning Heart around ten o'clock. The number of people going by coach is about 40 people including some who will come to cheer on our heroes.
Just to be sure, I inquired with the Obstacle Run organization, important because I want to capture as much as possible on film, but almost the entire course can be followed on foot.
There is even a map available of the various distances that will be covered at a booth.
Personally I am very curious how my leg will hold up, it remains a stumbling block both literally and figuratively, but I have set my sights on filming as much as possible and I would love to film our own members. We'll see where the ship runs aground.
Because our entire trainers guild is also in attendance and possible replacement Sam van Doorn has her own boot camp this Saturday, the regular classes will be taught by Mourad.
We are still trying to find someone to teach the Crossfight class, if this does not work out then this class will be cancelled for once.
The weather for Saturday looks good, around 20 degrees and no significant rain but it will still be Holland.
In any case bring comfortable clothing, also for after the run so we can make it an unforgettable day.

Good news
Next thing I want to mention on my blog is that starting in September there will be classes for Muslim women three times a week. There was a lot of interest and Jerry responded positively to this request. Because we have lowerable screens that close off the mat completely and through our old entrance, current entrance of Folkert Rikkert de Koe, can enter separately and there is also a spacious dressing room with two showers and toilet, this was quickly arranged.

Reactions to Jerry's post on Facebook were unanimously positive.

Dumbells
Last post on blog 23 again concerns a modification in the gym. Since a few weeks there is an extra thick mat of rubber tiles in front of the Dumbells rack. In practice, this extra mat turned out to be on the small side so it has been enlarged. This mat was necessary because some athletes let the Dumbells fall out of their hands on the hard concrete floor. This damaged several Dumbells so much that they had to be replaced. Of course we are not happy about this replacement, it costs a lot of money but that is how it is. What I am also not happy about is sometimes the chaotic sight of weights around the Deadlift. Just thrown here and there, stupidly didn't take a picture of it because it really wasn't a sight. Because this angle is difficult to see on the camera, we are going to adjust the position of the camera so that we can get clear pictures of it and address the people who make a mess of it in the future. After all, it is such a small effort to leave the floor tidy after your exercise. Can't say this enough, consider this part of the exercise and in my eyes dead wrong!!!!

Until my next blog,
Dick
