The Pastor

I've noticed this before but how time flies when you're busy.
We are already in August but I feel that the year has just begun.
At the Dojo everything is running smoothly and I am always surprised how busy it is despite the fact that it is really vacation season at the moment.
Shuttle from my home to Jerry's lodging this week due to the fact that my oldest grandchild left Ibiza a week early and don't want to leave her home alone.
Bit of private news now but to the happenings at the Dojo for which, after all, this blog is intended.

The Reverend
This Sunday at the Dojo there will be a one-time class by Ad Donkerlo, also known by his nickname "The Reverend." Announced on Facebook early this week with an article provided with a photo taken by our webmaster René. May say that conscious article is and was successful given the many nice reactions to this announcement.

That Ad takes this lesson seriously I can confirm because "The Reverend" even wants to make a real Playlist.
Give it a go, entertaining people for an hour for the first time in your life with a pocket and fitness workout. Tell you the truth, I wouldn't do it for him.
Of course I will make a movie of it and people who don't want to be on screen can tell me and I will take that into account when editing. That goes for every time you see me walking with the camera and you do not want to be in the picture, just shoot me and I will take that into account. From this side all understanding when you do not want to be in the picture.
Will also make this known prior to this happening.

Maeva
This coming Sunday in a month it will be D-Day for 82 athletes and the Fisherman Friend Strong Man Run is scheduled. We are going to make this a big happening, details such as the Coach and the like, will be announced in all sorts of ways in due course.
As you know this Run is linked to the fight against cancer, we want to raise as much money as possible for still much needed research into this disease.
A member of us, Maeva Lageba, who in the past year has personally experienced what an influence and attack this disease can be on your life has put her heart and soul into making this Run a success in many ways.
At the 6 km point of the course, drinks, sports snacks, etc. will be waiting for you so that no hunger pangs can occur among Burning Heart participants.
These refreshments have been provided by several sponsors through the relentless work of Maeva. Again, some will be announced in good time.
At the Dojo there will be a letter for each participating athlete containing information about private sponsorship for people close to you regarding the not to be underestimated achievement that you will deliver.

A quote from this letter:

"Everyone knows someone in his/her circle who is dealing with cancer. I am recovering from cancer but there are also people who have not overcome this disease.
With this envelope, you can get personally sponsored by friends, family and acquaintances.
The participant(s) who raised the most will receive a special surprise during the raffle drawing on September 4 at Burning Heart!
I mentioned, in addition to the sponsorship, there will be a raffle with some pretty nice prizes.
For those prizes, go to www.burning-heart.nl/fight-cancer/ to see what's up for grabs so far.

A ticket costs €2.00 and are available at the front desk of Dojo Burning Heart starting today.

Until my next blog,
Dick
