History: Seminar Ramon Dekkers
Quite a busy week at the Dojo, all kinds of things that I hadn't really planned.
Starting with the fact that our cleaner Reggie is on vacation which Jerry forgot to tell us and that was well known, Abman and Jaimy are enjoying a well-deserved vacation at the moment. Fortunately, the lack of the cleaner has been overcome. Wish I could still accomplish it, but vacuuming and/or mopping for more than an hour is too much for my leg, it doesn't want to cooperate anymore. In addition, I catch the first hours behind the bar and then go home with peace of mind, knowing that my successor Chloë has everything under control. Since Monday evening, we had to contend with a computer malfunction that lasted until Thursday, difficult because both cash register attacks and other necessary changes did not work. Fortunately, the scanner upstairs did work. Also had to be ready for a day because the air conditioning in the treadmills had given up the ghost and was leaking quite a bit. Been a mechanic and finally got it done, or so we thought. The next day there was another splash of water on the laminate floor so he can come back. Today (Thursday) a ride to Roozendaal with the Otopoetsbus, together with Mark, to get fitness equipment. A ride in the rain that came pouring down. Fortunately, the treadmill fitted, parts had to be picked up, and the Pec Deck in the Renault Traffic. Are currently in the hall downstairs because they need quite a facelift, never seen such a purple color leather. We will ensure that this Pec Deck is brought to new condition as soon as possible. The treadmill is a matter of bringing it upstairs, assembling it and cleaning it.

Today treadmill is being replaced and we get Pec Deck from our in-house supplier Fitness Result !! What is there is, except for a few used purchases, 3 to 5 years old now. In 2 years everything will be removed and we will replace everything with new!! This plan is already in place in consultation with Nino Duijzer. Wants to remain THE gym when it comes to class and quality. I don't know yet whether that will be Nautilus again, because it depends on what comes on the market, but it will be a top line of a top brand anyway. Not that mass gang that stands at the budget herd of schools....

Once everything was up and running, Jerry came up with the idea of giving seminars. The first people he invited were heroes in his eyes and people he admired immensely, their names Bob and Irma Schreiber October 2009 was the month that this couple gave a seminar where MMA was also given. Soon another seminar followed, 12-12-2009 was the day that a giant from the kickboxing world honored our Dojo with a visit. His name Ramon Dekkers, truly a special person who unfortunately passed away much too early, Ramon was only 43 years old. During a ride on his racing bike, he became unwell and resuscitation was of no avail. Fortunately, footage was made of his kickboxing class that can still be seen on You Tube. When you click on this Link You Tube you can watch the video of this seminar at your leisure. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the old Dojo in my photo archive. Due to a crash of my computer I lost quite a few memories, know what you think, if only I had made a backup. Something I currently do 3 times on different hard drives and also in the Cloud. In our Dojo hangs a canvas with the fists of Ramon Dekkers.
Jerry apparently liked the taste of seminars because April 2000 was next, Raymond Joval was his name. Another great from the kickboxing world.
